About this eventCome check out the El Dorado Nature Center on Saturday, May 21th. This nature center is a BEAUTY with trails for all experience levels. So don't 2nd guess yourself. You got this! The 105 acres that make up the Nature Center grounds provide sanctuary for animals and plant life. Two miles of dirt trails and a ¼ mile paved trail wind around two lakes, a stream and forested areas.
We will meet in the parking area at the picnic tables, Saturday, May 21st, at 8:00 am sharp! The trails start to get crowded around 8:45am/9am.

Where is the event located?
Nestled between the San Gabriel River and the 605 Freeway, El Dorado Nature Center is an oasis of natural habitat, offering visitors the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the urban environment.
Where can I park?
You can park in the Nature Center's parking lot. Parking is $8 per car at the entry gate so try to carpool. The park accepts both Cash & Card.
What should I bring to the event? If you are not fully vaccinated, wear a face mask to protect yourself and others when you are within 6' of anyone outside of your household. Bring drinking water to stay hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing & hiking shoes that might get a bit wet. A fanny pack or back pack could come in handy too. Be sure to have your phone or camera ready to capture candid nature moments!
Is it okay to bring food? The Nature Center has advised against food on the trail, however, granola bars, hand held fruits, and trailmix should be fine.
Are pets allowed? Unfortunately the fur babies are not permitted at this hiking location. Please leave your fur babies comfortably at home. You'll be able to see plenty of wildlife on the trail.
What are the requirements to join the event? All attendees must RSVP. Minors under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We recommend participants be comfortable and capable of walking on uneven ground, a through a few fallen trees.
How long is the hike? AThe hike has (3) different trails. The first is about 1/4 mile from the entrance, the 2nd is One mile, and the third is a 2 mile loop. The trail takes approximately 90 minutes in total with stops for water breaks and pictures.
Is there a restroom? Yes, there is a restroom inside the Nature Center.
